The maternal perception about language symptom in three cases of risk for development and the search for early intervention

Objective: Analyze the maternal perception about language symptom in three cases of risk todevelopment and the relation with search for early intervention. Methods: Three subjects are accompaniedin longitudinal research from the application of the protocol Risk Indicators in Child Development, thefirst up to eighteen months. After termination of the research IRDls, three babies were evaluated againbetween 21 (M) and 24 months (R,T).This evaluation consisted of interview data sought general healthof the subjects, focusing primarily on issues of communication and language. We attempted to capturethe perceptions of each parent about the presence or absence of language disorder in your child. Theanalysis worked with the production of meaning from the dialogue established between the researcherand mothers. Results and Discussion: They showed that the longitudinal follow of these families andtheir children facilitated the awareness-raising with regard to listening to the suffering of subjects, andthe establishment of therapeutic demand, in early intervention (in one case), as well as for speech andlanguage therapy (in two cases). Conclusion: The therapeutic demand for early intervention or speechtherapy occurred in a singular way, case by case. The research suggests the need for insertion of alongitudinal covering a look on the psychic aspects of development and beyond motor milestones andnutritional focus, the more traditional focus in child health’s policyDownloads
