The childhood dysphonia is a voice disorder characterized by having its "communicative vehicle" harmed, thereby undermining the verbal message and paralanguage. Vocal nodules are the main cause of dysphonia in children of both sexes. In schools, educational activities have been identified as innovative in promoting vocal health social spaces, however are few reports of field experiments of this kind with children. This education project for health, 'From throat comes the voice ", also directed to parents and educators, aims to act in the pursuit of vocal health among children of preschool age and alert them to the importance of a healthy voice to the process of phonation, as well as the behaviors that lead to dysphonia and promoting voice quality. It is an innovative program that included a variety of teaching resources such as a dramatization of a piece of children's theater through puppets, a music, a doll, pictograms depicting the theme and an informative guide for the parents. We conclude that for symptoms related to the childhood dysphonia can be timely detected and understood by children, parents and educators, it is necessary to intensify the implementation of educational measures for health promotion to address the issue of voice.
