This communication intends to reflect upon the use of workshops as a resource used by Speech-Language Pathologists who work in the field of vocal care. The basis for this reflection will be the data resulting from an original survey with voice specialists who use workshops as one of their speechtherapeutic approaches, with subjects of different ages and vocal demands. 60 Speech-Language Pathologists answered a survey containing eight multiple-choice questions. The data was analyzed quantitatively and descriptively, and provide the base for the discussions and reflections presented in this paper. According to the participating Speech-Language Pathologists, workshops in the vocal care field has been emphasizing prevention of voice disorders, and also health promotion, aiming towards vocal well-being and expressiveness, mainly among adult voice professionals. It is believed that the Speech-Language Pathologist needs to reflect upon the idea of workshops as a process of health education, and understand that its objectives should coincide with a need for change.Downloads
