The present study aims at conducting a literature review in order to verify in the literature of speechlanguage pathology and dentistry the contribution of cephalometric findings for the orofacial dysfunctions diagnosis. The review of the literature was realized on the proposed topic using books, monographs, scientific journal articles and materials from the internet. In the latter, articles have been researched on Lilacs, Bireme, SciELO and Medline databases in relation to the keywords “head circumference”, “speech-language pathology”, “stomatognathic system”, “diagnosis” and “pathology”. In our area, the cephalometric evaluation can contribute to the diagnosis of orofacial myofunctional disorders, and among them, oral breathing, speech disorders of musculoskeletal origin, temporomandibular disorders and obstructive sleep apnea. In this sense, there is agreement in the literature regarding possible cephalometry contributions in the orofacial motricity diagnosis.Downloads
