The legal field must adapt to the rapid changes of contemporary society, which demands a more dynamic and multidisciplinary approach. François Ost emphasizes the importance of integrating theories from other fields, such as ethics, sociology, and economics, to create a more effective and just legal system. His innovative perspective suggests a broader understanding of legal issues, leading to the increasing adoption of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles by companies, which seek to balance legal obligations with social responsibilities.
This article examines the importance of adopting a forward-looking, multidisciplinary approach in both the legal and corporate fields. François Ost’s theories, which emphasize a "network" legal system and the temporal duality of law, are crucial for shaping legal education that meets current and future demands. Thus, the intersection of Ost’s theories with ESG principles can guide the legal system and the corporate world towards more responsible and sustainable practices.
