Abstract

Women, media and democracy — The media’s portrayal of female political candidates is a central concern in the book Politics: Women’s Words by Raquel Paiva. Her work will undoubtedly contribute to dismantle the discourses and discriminatory practices that hamper women’s political participation in contemporary democracies.
