O contextualismo linguístico de Quentin Skinner como desafio ao Conceito de "Parting of ways" da filosofia contemporânea

Resumo

Este artigo explora a tese historiográfica de Quentin Skinner, denominada contextualismo linguístico, como um potencial desafio à dicotomia na filosofia contemporânea entre as tradições 'analítica' e 'continental'. Essa divisão, enraizada em abordagens diferentes da linguagem e metodologia, levou à rotulagem e categorização de filósofos nessas duas áreas. No entanto, o trabalho de Skinner, baseado nas ideias de R.G. Collingwood, Ludwig Wittgenstein e John L. Austin, apresenta nuances que desafiam uma classificação fácil. Ao enfatizar a importância do contexto histórico e das formas como a linguagem molda a investigação filosófica, a tese de Skinner confunde as fronteiras entre filosofia analítica e continental. Examinamos os argumentos de Skinner e suas implicações para o conceito de 'parting of ways', sugerindo que o contextualismo linguístico desafia a validade dessa dicotomia. Por fim, argumentamos pela inclusão do contextualismo linguístico como uma alternativa significativa dentro do discurso filosófico contemporâneo, especialmente em discussões sobre metafilosofia e as limitações de categorizações rígidas
