Resumo

This work aims to analyse the interaction between a teacher and a group of learners of English and emphasize the attitude of the teacher reflected in her speech. It examines the changes in the voice quality of the teacher according to what is done in the classroom. This kind of analysis is important to help understand what happens in the classroom and in the process of language learning and teaching.
