Representações da identidade Americana
uma análise multidimensional de trigramas em inglês no google books

Este artigo apresenta uma Análise Multidimensional Lexical (Berber Sardinha, 2014, 2019, 2020a, 2020b; Berber Sardinha & Fitzsimmons-Doolan, 2025) de trigramas do Google Books, extraídos de publicações que abrangem 21 décadas (1800-2008). O estudo tem como objetivo comparar as representações sociais dos povos das Américas em publicações em língua inglesa, com foco em trigramas de sintagmas nominais recorrentes contendo as colocações North American, Latin American, Central American e South American. Os resultados indicam que regiões fora da América do Norte são representadas por um padrão tripartite envolvendo oportunidade econômica, conflito interno e abundância natural, refletindo perspectivas sócio-históricas duradouras no discurso em língua inglesa.
