A PRESENÇA DA INTERROGAÇÃO NO TEXTO OPINATIVO: REFLEXÕES SOBRE O ETHOS DISCURSIVO

Abstract

This paper aims at analyzing the plausibility of grasping the discursive ethos through punctuation marks. The theoretical basis of this research derives from the bakhtinian conception of language and the contributions of the French-oriented research line on Discourse Analysis as far as analysis procedures are concerned. The corpus of this inquiry is an opinion article written by the columnist Clóvis Rossi (Folha de S. Paulo). As a result, our research allowed us to point out that the interlocutors are invited to take a certain discursive position. Therefore, the argumentative persuasion is constructed through the interaction between linguistic signals and punctuation marks.
