Abstract

This article discusses the use of technology according to a psychiatry point of view.  Throughout this study,it will be possible to notice that  the internet dependence is not a chemical one but  behavioural – which affects the psyche - being hazardous to the user´s daily activities. It is also possible to realize that the abusive use of the mobile widely contributes to internet addiction. The excessive use of any nature, stimulates the soul and provokes its energetic disharmony causing great disturbs in the physical body. Prevention and treatment to the disorders arising from the abusive use of the internet and alike is to know how to use the virtual world and mostly, when using it, think about our own well being, the others and the Universe.

Author Biography

José Luiz Condotta

José Luiz Condotta, natural de Sorocaba (SP); formou-se em Medicina em 1973 e especializou-se em Psiquiatria. Fez inúmeros cursos de aperfeiçoamento sobre diversas terapias, inclusive a Terapia da Regressão. Trabalhou em diversos Hospitais Psiquiátricos e CAPS (Centro Atendimento Psicossocial) da região de Sorocaba. Atualmente dedica-se ao consultório particular e atividades relacionadas à Espiritualidade. É articulista da Revista Internacional de Espiritismo e autor de dois livros: "Homem e Deus - construindo a felicidade" e "Ansiedade, pânico e depressão" editados pela Editora O Clarim.
