Resumo

Trata-se de uma revisão integrada da literatura sobre os efeitos das intervenções com música na demência. Os resultados sugerem um impacto globalmente positivo das intervenções com música nas pessoas com demência, seus familiares e cuidadores destacando-se o seu impacto ao nível da cognição, comportamento, humor, emoções, qualidade de vida, bem-estar, dor, parâmetros biomédicos e sobrecarga do cuidador. No entanto, salienta-se a falta de investigações metodologicamente consistentes.
