Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Os arquivos para submissão estão em formato Microsoft Word, OpenOffice ou RTF (desde que não ultrapasse os 2MB)
Todos os endereços de páginas na Internet (URLs), incluídas no texto (Ex.: http://www.ibict.br) estão ativos e prontos para clicar.
O texto está em espaço 1,5; usa uma fonte de 12-pontos; emprega itálico ao invés de sublinhar (exceto em endereços URL); com figuras e tabelas inseridas no texto, e não em seu final.
O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na seção Sobre a Revista.
A identificação de autoria deste trabalho foi removida do arquivo e da opção Propriedades no Word, garantindo desta forma o critério de sigilo da revista, caso submetido para avaliação por pares (ex.: artigos), conforme instruções disponíveis em Asegurando a Avaliação por Pares Cega.
Author Guidelines
The Kairos Journal Gerontology accepts contributions, suggestions and criticisms which can be forwarded to the Scientific Editor (Prof. ª Dr.ª Flaminia Lodovici Manzano Moreno), the electronic address: flalodo@terra.com.br. The Works received, in terms of Scientific Articles, research reports, critical reviews (of books recently published in gerontology area or in combination with the area of aging) or Conference Proceedings will be submitted to the Board of judging, which will then decision to publish. The Editorial Board has full authority to decide on the convenience of your acceptance, and may even reintroduce it to the authors with suggestions for necessary changes are made in the text and / or to adapt to the editorial standards of publication. In this case, the work will be reviewed by the Council of judging. Compliance with the standards for publication is a mandatory condition for receiving the work. The opinion will be duly forwarded to the first author. Originals not approved will not be returned, but is saving the right of (a) author (a) to disseminate them in other spaces editorials. Possible spelling corrections will be made in order to maintain uniformity and quality of the publication, respecting, however, the style and the author's opinion. It is recommended that the text be referred to a technical reviewer language expert. (1) Articles must be 12 to 20 pages, including notes and bibliography, and sent on line at http://revistas.pucsp.br/index.php/kairos/information/authors. Or directly to the Scientific Editor, Profª. Flaminia M.M.Lodovici at: flalodo@terra.com.br or kairos@pucsp.br. (2) Must be submitted in Word for Windows in size 12, Times New Roman font with 1.5 spacing. For holes or paragraphs, it is recommended to use the TAB key or 1.25 cm in the first row. Citations in the body of work, with all lines of retreat of 4.0 cm, going to the end of the horizontal line). (3) Each article should contain summary and abstract of no more than six lines, three keywords and title in English (for international indexing). It is recommended that the author submit these texts in English on the revision of a native speaker of English to avoid translation problems. (4) Footnotes should be only explanatory containing additional information and substantial to the article and must appear at the end of each cited page. (5) The mention of authors within the text should be as follows: Author (with capitals), date. E.g.: (Martins, 1998). If more than one title by the same author in the same year, they must be differentiated by a letter after the date. E.g.: (Martins, 1998a), (Martins, 1998b). If there are quotes, add these pages after the date. E.g.: (Martins, 1998: 72-8). (6) The data needed for authoring, inserted at the end of the article, are: name, occupation, institutional affiliation and e-mail (about 3 lines). (7) All the bibliographic reference must appear complete: author, year, title, place of publication, publisher, number of pages mentioned (in the case of the reference article). In a work that was not on the date of publication, please clarify (undated). E.g.: Brecht, B. (undated). Stories almanac. Lisbon: Vega. (8) For books, the titles should appear in italics. E.g.: Bosi, E. (1987). Memory and Society: memories of old. São Paulo: Edusp. (9) In the case of periodicals, the titles of articles should appear in regular font and the titles of magazines and journals in italics (italics followed by the volume. The number in parentheses, standard format). Eg: Martins, J. (1998). We are not Chronos, we are Kairos. Journal Gerontology, 1 (1) - Center for Study and Research on Aging. FACS / NEPE / PUC-SP. (10) In the case of films, the titles should appear in regular format, followed by film type, year, direction, country, and distributor. E.g.: The cat is gone (video film) (1996). (Cedric Klapifch, Dir). France: Lumiere Home Video. (11) The sending of any spontaneous collaboration automatically implies the transfer of rights of publication to Kairos Gerontology. The magazine is not obliged to return the originals and / or floppy disks or USB keys shipped.
