Abstract

This exploratory study analysis the social personal networks of the oldest generation in families with four living generations. A questionnaire to analyse the personal social network (IARSP-R) was administered to 23 participants, from the oldest generation (G1). Main findings show medium size networks, cohesive, homogeneous and family centred. The contiguous generational subsystem (G2) provides most of the support, with differentiated contributes from the other generations.
