Influence of dance in the biopsychosocial aspects of the elderly

Abstract

This paper "Influence of the dance aspect of the biopsychosocial old" proposal was to provide data that can contribute significantly during the aging process, following the influence of dance in their biopsychosocial aspects. The main objective was to evaluate the subjective perception of the quality of life of elderly people, of both genders, and the influence of a dance program. It was observed more frequently in elderly people with primary education (50%), Catholic (81.82%), married (90.91%), all with their own home, with family income 1-3 times the minimum wage of white origin, retires and the disease was more frequent hypertension (41.67%), followed by diabetes (29.17%). The dance showed improvement in scores on the WHOQOL-Old facets "Intimacy", "Death and Dying", "Social Participation", "Activities Past, Presents and Future", "Autonomy" and "Sensorimotor Functioning of" into pre and post intervention in both genders.
