Abstract

This study aimed to: lift the biopsychosocial aspects of hospitalized elderly; identify whether family dynamics influence the hospitalization and verify that the factors related to family engagement can facilitate or retard the discharge. Were interviewed 100 elderly and most have complexity of care and social support network constitutes the most intimate can delay hospital discharge. It is essential to case management of hospitalized elderly targeting improvements in hospitalization process.
