Abstract

Literature search in order to analyze the scientific productions addressing aging and challenges for public health in the last 10 years, in databases: LILACS, MEDLINE, SCIELO CIDSAÚDE And, with the descriptors: aging, elderly and public policy. In the analysis of the articles was evident (i) the high cost of health care for the elderly health services, (ii) the importance of interdisciplinary care to the elderly and (iii) new models of care that have been applied to overcome these challenges.
