Abstract

Due to the increase in film production about aging this study sought to identify changes in the occupational roles of the elderly and how they were represented in the movies. This is a documental study, qualitative, which used films having a elderly people as protagonist. These were classified by gender and applied the Occupational Roles list. Of the 23 films analyzed, identified the papers lost, maintained and incorporated into old age, as well as conflicts in the face of change and/or the lack of plans for their lives.
