This study aims at presenting some reflections on the progress achieved and the limits in emergency care for the elderly, called chronic alcoholic, in a public health service located in extreme social vulnerability in São Paulo city community, representing a cut of results studies and practices involved in the dynamics of such service, as reflected in the presentation of a typical case study.
