This paper aims to understand the configurations regarding male ageing and how the gender relationships influence its construction, from a descriptive and qualitative study. The findings indicate the impact of retirement on male ageing, the extension of its social network from the participation in actions aimed at this segment and to the supremacy of families whose responsibility for economic support is borne by the elderly.
