This article discusses the collective statement of active aging, taking as reference the PAHO-WHO Program (2005) and its unfolding in the 2015 Report. I use Foucault and his analysis of the mechanisms of power. I highlight the origins of the statements of active aging. I use from this philosopher the concept of human capital. Finally, I emphasize the construction of a subjectivation mode based on ethics as the aesthetic of existence, in order to promote a shift from the active term attached to aging, to artist.
