Abstract

This article aims at reconstructing from the perspective of the elderly, their impressions on the sociability and solidarity relations from childhood to old age. The data were collected from eighteen personal testimonies. The data reveal the occurrence of a series of changes in lives of the elderly and their families, influenced by socio-cultural events, new regulations of the State in relation to society and family and new ways of social protection.
