Abstract

Descriptive study of reflective analysis that aimed to analyze the current challenges of the Brazilian public health system in the face of chronic diseases in the elderly. It is evident that the current health care system has challenges in performance with the elderly with chronic diseases, including: the provision of care for the elderly from the performance on networks of health care services; Production of information and Epidemiological Surveillance in Conducting prevention and health promotion in multidisciplinary activities, including family care. This begs the development of remedial activities on the part of managers and professionals who meet those demands.
