Physical activity level and habits in leisure elderly centenarians

The aim of this study is to compare the level of physical activity with the practice of certain leisure activities of centenarian Florianópolis (SC), Brazil. The sample consisted of 23 centenarians, with a mean age of 101.7 (SD = 2.0 years). The average steps / day was 641.23 (SD = 655.83) and the elderly that "visiting relatives and friends" and "shopping", both activities outside the home, showed better level of physical activity than those who did not practice these leisure habits, respectively.
