The use of assistive technology in elderly with Alzheimer's Disease

The study identified the Assistive Technology (AT) for elderly people with Alzheimer's disease (AD) in Brazil and abroad, and has shown that TAs are designed for seniors with AD in mild stage and needing help from caregivers. Discusses the social impact caused by the use of these technologies within the national context and analyzes that in Brazil, such technologies require government investments and incentives, becoming a social, economic and cultural challenge for future implementation in the country.
