Abstract

ABSTRACT: Quantitative, cross-sectional and descriptive study in a city in the south of Minas Gerais, with 510 elderly. This study aimed to analyze the capacity level to work for the elderly. The mean age was 68.7 years, 43.5% of participants rated their health status as good. In relation to total capacity level to work, 57% of reported good capacity. it is clear that seniors are able to remain in the labor market and this fact has a direct link with your current health.
