Abstract

 With increasing life expectancy of Brazilians, the number of elderly population is proving increasingly, surpassing 15 million people. Aging is often described as a progressive and irreversible period and characterized by the depletion of reserves. In this study, we analyzed the resilience of older women who participate in Social Centers in the cities of Paraiba Valley and its sociodemographic data. These women showed a high degree of resilience.
