Urinary incontinence prevalence and your impact on the quality of life in elderly: comparative study between urban and rural areas

Observational research, conducted with 125 elderly’s, with age ranging from 60 and 96 years, for both sexes, with the aim of compare the prevalency and the impact of the urinary incontinence on the quality of life and the characteristics of urinary losses of elderly of urban and rural area. Was used a questionnaire to characterize the elderly that contained socio-demographic information, place of residence (urban or rural) and use of medications. There was no difference between the prevalence and characteristics of urinary losses between rural group and the urban group.
