Abstract

Stereotypes about the elderly are present in society, creating generalizations about old age. The purpose of this article is was know how old is pictured in Cartoons of the Western filmography. Fifty one films were analyzed, in which prevailed the elderly being represented with positive images, despite the negative stereotypes are highlighted when they appear in the films, damaging the old image in front of children.
