Assessment of quality of life among patients with chronic pain treated with acupuncture

Aimed to verify the quality of life of adults with chronic pain treated with acupuncture. Cross-sectional study, twenty participants were interviewed, mostly women, cohabiting and Catholic. Using the SF-36, the highest score obtained was the social function followed by role emotional. The lowest scores were in the mental health dimensions, and bodily pain, indicating, despite the presence of pain and disadvantaged state of wellness, a positive assessment of the quality of life in relation to their social interactivity and their performance in doing activities of daily living.
