The objective of this article is to investigate how professional transvestites and former sex professionals build temporal boundaries in their life trajectories. To achieve this goal we interviewed ten transvestites aged between 24 and 62 years residing in the State of Minas Gerais-Brazil. From the analysis of the interviews we identified three categories: 1. During childhood / youth; 2. Investing in the body; 3. Stories of the Streets. The results suggest that public policies should observe how transvestites deal with generational differences and the aging in order to ensure their fundamental rights.
