Technological activities in Day centers for the elderly – an experience report

Digital games with the elderly can be considered as a sociocultural practice that is very enriching both for the elderly and for professionals involved in this type of activity, as it has been verified in the day-to-day work of professionals in day centers in the city of São Paulo (SP). In this Report of Experience, the beneficial effects of physical, cognitive and emotional order arising from these practices are highlighted, and the difficulties encountered in this challenge are explained, as well as the referrals that have been configured as successful in the day-to-day public centers. Personal gains to both involved, as well as academics and professionals, are earned with the practices reported here, supported by research.
