Abstract

Occupational accidents are considered the main cause of aggravation to workers' health. The objective of this study was to investigate the prevalence of serious work accidents in the elderly in Santa Maria (RS) according to the type of accident, the labor market situation and the accident site. Descriptive searching using Datasus. We found 66 cases, the typical type prevailing, with autonomous and at home. It is hoped that with this data actions can be developed to avoid them.
