Profile of body posture in elderly: narrative review

A narrative bibliographic review study, aiming at verifying the prevalence of postural changes in the elderly, the control of balance, and the influence of physical exercises. The research was carried out in the databases SciELO, LILACS, MEDLINE and Google Scholar. It was found 18 studies where postural changes were more prevalent in the spine. Concerning balance, anteroposterior and mid-lateral changes prevailed and physical exercise was effective for posture in five studies.
