The aim was to verify which one variable of the center of pressure (CoP) are used to evaluate postural balance after a stroke event, and how these are made and performed in older people. A search for articles published between the years 2010 until 2020 carried out in PubMed, MEDLINE, LILACS, SciELO, and Cochrane databases. Were found 294 papers, and 5 studies were selected. The most used variables were positioning the velocities, and CoP oscillation area variables, and bipodal support (with the open eye) for 30 seconds.
