The occurrence of falls in aging represents a serious public health problem. We searched the literature for clinical studies that presented therapeutic exercises / kinesiotherapy to prevent and minimize falls. This is a literature review of clinical trials evaluated by the PEDro methodological quality scale (Physiotherapy Evidence Database). Short-term and long-term home therapeutic exercises were found, the OEP (Otago Exercise Program) proved to be effective, significantly reduced falls and improved quality of life for the elderly fallers.
