User experience in health monitoring applications: contributions to gerontechnology

In recent years, computational technologies have been contributing to the increased research in gerontecnology, especially topics related to mHealth applications. This paper presents the results of a pilot study that assessed the user experience of an mHealth app called DeglutFono. Four users participated, using the app for a period of 12 weeks. Results show that building a positive user experience enhances users’ involvement in using the application.
