Abstract

This is a descriptive study, conducted with elderly individuals monitored in primary health care individuals followed up in Primary Health Care, within Rio Branco, capital of the state of Acre, northern region of Brazil, with the objective of identifying the sociodemographic profile, lifestyle and health situation of these elderly people. The research data can support policies, actions and programs for the prevention and care of the elderly in the region, in addition to guiding the need for services and the implementation of specific programs, such as the attention to women's health in the climacteric / menopause and the performance of the Health Centers. Support to Family Health.
