This research sought to apprehend the narratives of informal caregivers, Research carried out through semi-structured interviews, in which 13 informal caregivers were heard. The elements of this study showed that caring for a dependente elderly person has direct implications for Family caregivers. Care is permeated by ambivalente feelings that confront and are difficult to even be expressed by those who care, generating emotional and psychological suffering, raising feelings and meanings ambivalent to the caregiver.
