The feminization of old age marks several contemporary societies. The Age-friendly cities project recommends capturing the demands of older inhabitants in relation to the environment where they live (WHO, 2008). Objective: to investigate whether the literature related to this project presents information regarding older women. Although no study focuses on older women, some bring reflections on them, or highlight the relevance of considering gender issues to think about Age-Friendly Cities.
