Abstract

ABSTRACT: This paper analyzes the aging of the elderly living in a long-term institution, considering the increase in life expectancy in Brazil, as well as the contradictions experienced by the elderly, those who do not have an effective care policy offered by the State tend to have several difficulties. In this sense, narratives of institutionalized elderly people were analyzed in order to describe the feelings experienced by these elderly people in a long-term institution.
