This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Aquatic Physiotherapy on the pain of 15 obese and sedentary women. For the assessment of pain, the McGill-Melzack questionnaire and the Visual Analogue Scale were used. The pain index decreases after the Aquatic Physiotherapy Program (p = 0.001) when analyzing the data from the Visual Analogue Scale and the four parts of the McGill-Melzack questionnaire. It was concluded that the Aquatic Physiotherapy Program proved to be effective in the treatment of pain in obese and sedentary women, which can motivate them to effectively adhere to this Program, even in middle age, preparing their body condition for old age.Downloads
