Deslocamentos cotidianos de pessoas idosas: evidências coletadas por entrevista caminhada

O envelhecimento populacional brasileiro ocorre majoritariamente em áreas urbanas. Com o avanço da idade, os deslocamentos do indivíduo tendem a se restringir ao domicílio e entorno imediato. Considerando o paradigma do aging in place, este trabalho exploratório discute a mobilidade, acessibilidade e caminhabilidade da população idosa no bairro, no contexto de uma grande cidade paulista. Utilizou a técnica de entrevista caminhada, combinada a mapas, fotos, rastreadores GPS e observação direta. Resultados qualitativos preliminares convergem com a literatura existente, sugerindo que fatores pessoais como gênero, renda, cor, idade, além de disponibilidade de destinos, acesso a transporte público ou carro, segurança, socialização, diversidade de usos do solo e aspectos estéticos influenciam os deslocamentos cotidianos e a qualidade de vida das pessoas idosas.
