Cidades e envelhecimento: proposições para uma cidade inteligente sensível à idade

O envelhecimento populacional impõe desafios à construção de cidades inteligentes sensíveis à idade. O artigo analisa criticamente as condições e limites da população idosa em São Paulo, diante do acelerado envelhecimento demográfico e à crescente digitalização dos serviços urbanos. Metodologicamente, adota-se abordagem teórico-empírica, exploratória, baseada em revisão bibliográfica, análise documental e dados secundários (Censo 2022, Informes Urbanos Municipais). A análise organizou-se em cinco critérios: infraestrutura urbana inadequada, exclusão digital, desigualdade territorial, baixa representatividade nos dados urbanos e transporte público insuficiente, propondo diretrizes para políticas urbanas integradas e sensíveis à idade. Concluiu-se que a construção de uma cidade inteligente exige inovação tecnológica e políticas públicas centradas na equidade e participação cidadã ativa das pessoas idosas nos processos de planejamento urbano.
