At the margins of juridical sovereignty

This article aims to explore the theme of sovereignty within Foucault's genealogy, seeking to highlight Michel Foucault's critical engagement with the juridical tradition of power analysis and the way his treatment of biopolitics reintroduces the problem of political domination from the perspective of specifically modern and state-centered violence. To this end, we also intend to draw on Giorgio Agamben's reading of the problem of sovereignty and biopolitics as a way of presenting one of the common interpretations of the theme of biopower in Foucault.
