Educação e cultura no pensamento de Franz Boas

Abstract

This article seeks to instigate a discussion of the issues Education and Culture, with the theoretical thinking of Franz Boas, especially the book The Mind of Primitive Man, in which the author deals with anthropological themes of great importance for the understanding of social reality. Anthropological themes as "race " and "culture" are medullary in anthropology from Boas and serve as a basis for studying the concept of education today and the educational process of all times and places.
