Os não lugares não existem: uma visão crítica na pós-modernidade

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the relationship of the term "not-places", coined by Augé (2010) in order to define the profile of the place of interaction in postmodernity. First we will present the basic features of postmodernity. Then, we will discuss the issue of identity in the postmodernity and how we witness the compression of space by time in the liquid life, the term that Bauman (2009) chooses to describe what other authors have also called postmodernity. Finally, we introduce the concept of not-place in a context of cyberculture to demonstrate that, in fact, there are any not-place.
