Abstract

With the advent of the Industrial Revolution, the Protestant found an environment conducive to exercise their faith and seek the promised prosperity, where earlier this century approached a trend that even today we see among Protestants. This article is a reflection and leads us to conclude that the remarks of Max Weber early last century are present today. Protestantism encourages the search for financial progress, which is very conducive within a capitalist environment. If Max Weber could now observe the behavior of a portion of the Protestant half in Brazil, certainly would not be surprised with what they witnessed.
