Transporte metroferroviário: agente de inclusão social na cidade de São Paulo

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the public policies for the City Railway transport and its relation to social inclusion. Many actions for the improvement of means of transport have been effected over the last year in Sao Paulo, with major investments from the state government and international financing. The situation of immobility and exclusion of poorer populations of large urban concentrations, motivates us to ask whether the objective of promoting mobility and social inclusion has been accomplished.
