Abstract

This article is about the situation of Young Indians in the metropolitan region ofSão Paulo. It is a first approach to the theme that will be the aim of the researchlinked a project called “Jovens urbanos: ações estético-culturais e novas práticaspolíticas” (CLACSO/PUCSP). Young Indians is a class in construction,emerging in an urban context, where peculiar characteristics take over, with lotsof difficulty of recognition. Many initiatives are already in to Brazilian reality inthe sense of formulation of public politics directed specifically to this people.
